AfterBlooms, a fine fragrance house by Tulip Blooms
AfterBlooms, a fine fragrance house by Tulip Blooms
AfterBlooms is an extension of Tulip Blooms, created to bring the same care, curiosity, and ingredient awareness into the world of fine fragrance. What began as essential oil blending slowly became two years of research, testing, chemistry, office scent trials, and one very opinionated final approval process.
It is not a departure from Tulip Blooms. It is the next chapter.
Researched Fragrance

AfterBlooms started long before there was a bottle, a box, or a finished fragrance.
For over two years, Patrick had been quietly playing with scent, beginning around the time Ashlie created the Core Essential Blend. At first, he wanted to make beautiful essential oil blends. Then came the harder question: how do you make something smell beautiful and actually last?
That question pulled him into the deeper world of perfumery. Essential oils led to aroma chemistry. Longevity led to synthetics. Synthetics led to safety data, allergen research, IFRA standards, formulation methods, supplier documents, and the frustrating truth that “natural” does not always mean gentler.
Rose geranium was one of his early obsessions. He loved it. The problem was, Ashlie’s allergies did not. Like many floral essential oils and traditional perfumes, it sent her nose into full rebellion.
Patrick did not realize how far the rabbit hole would take him. What began as curiosity turned into years of research, testing, reformulating, and asking everyone within reach to smell “just one more version.”
Patrick researches constantly, often while listening to perfumery discussions, podcasts, or research-heavy rabbit trails in the background. He reads studies, ingredient data, third-party testing, supplier documents, and safety information.
He asks what is safe, at what quantity, by what method, and who funded the study. That is Patrick: always chasing the facts behind the formula.
His work on The Tox Report with BB Maguire reflects that same curiosity. He is not interested in fear-based fragrance or blind trust. He wants the truth behind the ingredients, the research, and the final formula.
Evan, Alex, and Karalyn have all been pulled into the process. Blotters appear. Bottles get passed around. Opinions are collected.
Some experiments are beautiful. Some are almost there. Some smell like tanning lotion to Evan and something deeply stale to Ashlie. These are the sacrifices made in the name of fragrance.
Then the formulas come home to Ashlie, whose very opinionated nose gives the final verdict.
Ironically, Patrick cannot enjoy fragrance quite the way most people can. His nose is not as sharp as Ashlie’s, which makes the whole thing even funnier and somehow more fitting. He builds the scent with research, structure, and persistence.
Ashlie tests the beauty, wearability, and whether it makes her sneeze like a pregnant Bajoran.
Nothing gets the green light without Ashlie’s approval. She built the shop, chooses what goes on it, and protects the direction of the brand. Patrick may be the researcher and formulator, but Ashlie is the final approval department.
AfterBlooms is the result of that partnership: researched fragrance with romance still intact. Beautiful scents made with curiosity, honesty, and a deep respect for people who love perfume but have learned to be careful with it.
We are not here to scare people away from fragrance. We are here to make fragrance more intentional, more transparent, and more thoughtfully made.
Clean, to us, does not mean pretending every natural ingredient is harmless or every synthetic ingredient is suspicious. It means researched, carefully considered, and made with respect for the person wearing it.
This is perfume with romance, research, and a very opinionated final nose.
